Race Day

Today i ran the St. Patrick's Day 8k. Let me tell you, the difference between an 8k and and 10k isn't much, but it made a huge difference to me. It was a lot of fun. The race started around the Ronald Regan building, and then we ran along Pennsylvania Avenue towards the Capitol and around Union Station. Being a St. Patrick's Day race I was rocking my lovely I shamrock DC t-shirt, but I seemed to have missed the memo on running with the green tutu. I passed about 5 girls in those. I think my proudest accomplishment of the race had to have been that I started next to a group of 5 dressed up like the teenage mutant ninga turtles and as far as i know they did not pass me.
