Well we just spend $60 on fruits and vegetables at the grocery store, and I have to go back to work tomorrow ... Christmas is officially over my friends. It was an amazing break though and Zach and I had an amazing time celebrating with our families.
The Friday before Christmas we had our official Christmas Date - dinner at Old Ebbitt and then walking through the National Christmas Trees. I must give kudos to the decorating committee, the tree was beautiful this year. Normally they have really gaudy decorations (nothing like the Rockefeller tree), but this year was just perfect.
Saturday, we drove to my parents for a mini Christmas celebration. Little Greyson helped open the present we gave his dad with his teeth. Thanks Santa helper! My breakfast croissants were a huge hit. After brunch we flew to Texas. We were greeted with a full house and a dinner of brisket and ribs. Perfect way to start our vacation.
Texas was filled with quality time with my nephew James ("play cars with me Sooze"), amazing lake views, plenty of wine, and great family time. We had a progressive dinner in my in-laws neighborhood, where we got to enjoy two more stunning houses, we saw my sister and brother-in-law's new house in Fort Worth (just a little jealous of their home ownership), and did some shopping in downtown Dallas. On Christmas day my dad FaceTimed me dressed as Santa, much to the wonderment of James ("Thank you, Santa"). It was a great holiday.
Hope everyone is enjoying the last of their 2013!
