I joined my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew for an afternoon at the National Zoo on Saturday. I haven't been to the Zoo in almost five years, and it was an absolutely gorgeous day for it. Grey was more into the people watching than the animal watching, but we did get some good action. We saw the elephants, a beautiful lion, two baby tiger as the were trying to catch a duck in their little river bed, and some creepy looking reptiles. The highlight of the trip however, was when Grey had his first carousel ride. Janet plopped him on the bald eagle (not the cutest animal, but the most patriotic), and when the ride got going you could tell he was like "Woah." It was really cute.
