Thursday Shelby and I wanted to explore a new Happy Hour venue, and decided to go to Poste. Poste is the hotel bar inside Hotel Monaco in between Metro Center and Chinatown. I didn't know much about it, but it has popped up in the paper every now and then so it seemed like a good place to try out.
So how was it? Atmosphere of Happy Hour - higher end D.C. crowd. The decor was gorgeous, as are most DC hotel bars. Quality of Happy Hour - alright. They had limited options on special, but Shelby and I sipped on a fun house "punch." Best Part of Happy Hour - the $5 truffle fries. I do not know what truffle is, but it was good enough for two rounds of fries. Well worth another trip back.
