Friday night the Texas Rangers became American League Champions and secured their place in the World Series by beating the New York Yankees 6 - 1. The Rangers secured a really good lead in the 5th inning, but I was holding my breath most of the game. Zach switched from pacing around the apartment, to crouching in a catcher's stance in front of the TV for most of the game. When the last out came at the top of the 9th inning there was lots of jumping up and down and celebrating (and a couple of happy tears!). Since we couldn't be there to take part with the ginger ale/ champagne celebration, we pulled a bottle of Andre out of the fridge and celebrated ourselves. So happy for Zach's family, and can not wait to head down this weekend to see some of the games in person!
